app challenge

Mannat V. Jain, a junior at Garden City High School, has been declared the winner of the 2023 Congressional App Challenge in New York’s Fourth District by Representative Anthony D’Esposito.

The Congressional App Challenge, an official initiative of the U.S. House of Representatives, underscores bipartisan support for STEM education. Winning teams, like Jain’s, are invited to showcase their apps to Congress during the annual #HouseOfCode festival, highlighting the importance of inspiring students to pursue careers in computer science.

Jain’s winning app, Anu-Kram, aims to revolutionize learning by providing organization and search capabilities for educational materials on platforms like Google Classroom. Inspired by frustration with the inefficiencies of existing systems, Jain embarked on a mission to create a solution that integrates real-time indexation, organization, and AI capabilities.

The 2023 Challenge saw an unprecedented level of participation, with 374 Members of the House of Representatives hosting competitions, engaging 11,334 students from across the United States.
