StudentSpotlight-JuliaCherchever

Julia Cherchever, Garden City High School senior, spent six weeks over the summer working with physical chemists at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Her project was on the creation of a device that can analyze the intermolecular forces between oxygen and water through microwave spectroscopy to analyze how water vapor interacts with the ozone layer due to global warming. She was able to apply chemistry and physics to engineering.

“This experience was absolutely amazing and I learned many new skills such as soldering, circuit construction, coding, and various concepts that go into building," Cherchever said. "The connections and lessons that I learned will forever continue to influence me!”
