Garden City High School students earn recognition on National Spanish Exam
One hundred forty-eight Garden City High School students in levels two through five participated in the National Spanish Exam, an online competition designed to recognize, encourage and promote students’ proficiency in the Spanish language.
The National Spanish Exam is a standardized assessment for students in grades 6-12 that evaluates vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension and listening comprehension skills. The exam provides valuable insight into students’ language development and allows educators to monitor growth and proficiency over time.
While awards range from honorable mention to gold, students who score at or above the 75th percentile nationally receive medals. Those who earn a medal are also eligible to apply for scholarships and study abroad opportunities, including the Global Citizen Scholarship, Junior Study Abroad Program and Senior Scholarship.
