Garden City students excel in National German Exam

Congratulations to Frau Basile’s Garden City High School German students who participated in this year’s National German Exam and earned notable honors.
Each year, the American Association of Teachers of German sponsors the National German Exam, which is taken by nearly 22,000 high school students enrolled in Levels 2, 3 and 4 German. The assessment provides teachers with valuable diagnostic feedback, encourages continued language proficiency and recognizes students for their academic achievement through Gold, Silver, Bronze and achievement awards.
Three students — Susanna Phinney (grade 10), Ian Straus (grade 9) and Violetta Suaya (grade 9) — qualified for the AATG National German Exam Study Trip Award by scoring in the 90th percentile or higher.
Congratulations to all the Garden City High School German students who participated in the exam and Frau Basile for their dedication and hard work in preparing for this assessment.
