Garden City High School Spanish Honor Society students visit Stratford FLES classes

On Feb. 10, Garden City High School senior Spanish Honor Society students visited Stratford Elementary School for a day of interactive learning in their Foreign Language in Elementary School classes.
The visit began with the high school students and teacher Antonietta Gutierrez reading a book aloud to each class, which was written by some of the honor society members. After the reading, students broke into four smaller groups which the high schoolers rotated through to lead games and activities designed by a variety of Spanish Honor Society members, helping younger students strengthen their foundational Spanish skills.
For the Spanish Honor Society members, the visit was a full-circle moment, returning to the classrooms where they first learned Spanish in FLES and sharing their knowledge with the next generation of learners.
