Potential 2027 Bond Referendum Presentation - October 6, 2026

With an eye toward the future, Garden City Public Schools is committed to building upon the progress already made in updating its academic and athletic facilities, as well as the spaces that support students’ overall well-being. Over the course of the next several months, the Board of Education will discuss a possible bond referendum for community vote in March 2027 that focuses mainly on improvements at Garden City Middle School. We look forward to engaging with our community throughout this process and working together to create spaces that reflect our shared commitment to student success. Possible projects include:

- Reconstruct two existing shop rooms into Innovation Hub at MS.
- Relocate and update four grade 6 science rooms at MS.
- Replace the seating at the MS auditorium.
- Replace the MS auditorium theatrical system and existing house lighting with LED lighting.
- Install air conditioning at MS auditorium.
- Repaint MS auditorium.
- Add outdoor lighting to HS stadium field.
- Install outdoor cameras at HS stadium field.
- Install new track and field events at MS.
- Install synthetic turf field at MS.
- Reconstruct softball and baseball dugouts and bullpen at MS.
- Renovate restroom outside of MS cafeteria.
