Since 2013 I have served as the school social worker for Garden City Middle School.  My background includes a bachelors and masters degree in social work from Stony Brook University as well as a New York State License as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Prior to working in Garden City I worked for the Hauppauge School District.  I also have experience working a private practice setting providing group and individual counseling for children, adults, and families. 

As a school social worker I provide a variety of services including, counseling, crisis intervention, and classroom presentations.  This includes group and individual counseling for children focusing on socialization, anxiety, bereavement, divorce, and academic difficulties.  I am available for consultation regarding mental health concerns and service providers.  If you have a concern regarding your child or any questions for me I would be glad to assist you.  I can be reached at 478-3020 or by email at BakerK@gcufsd.net.
