Welcome to the 2017-2018 Fine and Performing Arts page! Here you can find calendar dates of our many district wide performances and art shows as well as information about NYSSMA (NYSSMA Dates and FAQ's). Community members are always welcomed to attend any of our concerts, art exhibitions and musical productions.

Garden City Music Department continues to earn the distinction of being named one of the NAMM Best Communities for Music Education in the nation.

Every year I am proud to announce the tremendous achievements earned by our music students.  This year we have the distict honor of having a high school band student named a Long Island Scholar Artist winner!  In addition, eight students were accepted to perform at the All-State Winter Conference with one additional student selected as an alternate!   The Garden City Music Department is also proud to have one student selected to perform at the All-National Conference, with one additional student selected as an alternate.  These honored students have been chosen through a rigorous assessment process involving thousands of the most talented high school students across New York State and the nation. In addition, over 100 students in grades 5-12 also earn the honor to represent Garden City at the NMEA All-County and LISFA Festivals each year.

The Art Department students also continue to be selected and honored each year at the ASA All-County exhibit and Go Ape, to name a few.  This year we have one Long Island Scholar Artist merit recipient.

Congratulations to all our students for your excellent accomplishments in the Arts!
