    Research based, aimed for accelerated students in Math.  As we know, acceleration is best practice for meeting needs of gifted learners.  An independent research study concluded that SMG in the elementary classrooms demonstrates substantial growth with a larger effect size when compared to the same program in the  elementary/middle school or high school level. It compels students to think using metacognition about their choices, analyzing trends and about general fiscal management.  Students engage and learn about economic systems as well as supply and demand.  Students must be creative in their selection of portfolios as well as independently maintain them and keep them current.
