•  Spanish 3R Grading Policy

    Spanish 3R will be graded using the total points method.

    Students will earn points throughout each quarter in the following categories:

    Projects / Presentations /

    Writing Assigments

    Tests / Quizzes

    Class Participation /

    Remote Attendance



  • Course Description: 

    In this class, you will practice the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in a more in-depth level.  You will continue to learn increasingly sophisticated vocabulary and grammatical structures and you will be exposed to more complex features of the language including different verb tenses.

    Throughout the year, you will be expected to understand oral and written messages, make oral and written presentations in Spanish, communicate about your immediate world, read material on familiar themes, and write compositions on relevant topics.  Emphasis will be placed on the use of Spanish in the classroom as well as on the use of authentic materials to learn about the culture.


    FLACS Exam:

    Students will take the comprehensive FLACS Checkpoint B Exam in June with the speaking portion done during class time in May. This will enable the students to complete a 3 year sequence in World Languages.

  • Google (GAFE) 

    • Both Google and Google Applications for Education (GAFE) will be used throughout this course.  This will be discussed further in class. However, please know that checking your “Google Classroom” everyday needs to become part of your daily educational routine.
    • Google Classroom will be used throughout this course for important announcements, reminders and online lessons.  
    • Class codes for these applications will be given at a later time during class.
