    Self-contained English 10
The main focus of the English 10 self-contained curriculum is to continue to develop skills as a writer, a reader and a thinker. The curriculum mirrors the strategies and goals of the mainstream English 10 curriculum in most practices. The course further develops students' ability to read closely, annotate and analyze text,  identify literary devices, and compose critical lens and thematic essays.
