Our Vocabulary Workshop will consist of a unit study (approximately) every two weeks. Each unit will contain 20 words. We will learn their pronunciation, part of speech and definition. We'll familiarize ourselves with the words as they appear in the context of a story. This study of vocabulary will help us become better readers and increase our vocabulary.
The more connections you make to the words, the easier it will be to remember them and interact with them in other contexts.

Vocabulary lesson assignments will be assigned throughout the two weeks to help students learn the words. The work will be done in the Vocabulary Workshop book and will be checked in class. Students will occasionally be asked to rewrite the answers to the assignment on a worksheet to be handed in for a homework grade. Always do your best work!
