• Dear Stratford Families,

I hope this correspondence finds you well. I am delighted to write this welcome letter as principal of Stratford Avenue School. It is truly an honor to continue my leadership journey with such a dedicated and supportive school community.

Over the last four years as Stratford’s assistant principal, I have had the most incredible opportunity to connect with the community, students, families, faculty and staff. I’ve learned that Garden City is a family. It is very apparent to me that Garden City has a strong sense of pride and truly values a legacy of innovation and excellence. As the principal of Stratford, I eagerly look forward to working with students to develop their curiosity for learning, while cultivating their individual passions, creativity, and strengths.

This summer has been an exciting time for me as I make the transition to principal. I have met with several teachers who are planning and preparing for what is expected to be an excellent school year rooted in inspiring our young minds. While I utilize this transitional time to gain perspective from a principal’s lens, I invite you to reach out with comments, questions or to simply share what you love about this community.

Please continue to check the Principal’s page for updates throughout the year.

    Sincerely,

    Chris Hartigan
