Photography 1 is a course emphasizing the fundamentals of the camera, film and printing. Students are encouraged to expand their understanding of history and contemporary photography. Students will photograph, develop and print black and white photographs for display. Students must have an updated 35 mm film camera with exposure metering and manually adjustable f-stops and shutter speeds, film, paper and other basic supplies. Assignments will require a student to photograph outside of the school day. Students will be provided with chemicals and mounting supplies.
